A Portable System Tester (PST) is a software tool used to download event history data to perform diagnostics. It also enables configuration setting of TCN Gateways and train computers.

Protected against unauthorised use, the PST employs usernames and passwords for secure access. Users can be arranged in groups that have different permissions to access the data. Selected functionalities can be granted to staff members according to their role (e.g. administration rights or different level of maintainer roles with read/write rights or read only possibility).
